    Crazy About Corn (CD-ROM, and Related Materials)

    With games, songs and numerous activities, the Crazy About Corn CD is a great way to teach children the importance of corn. They'll learn different aspects of history, native-american culture, scientific techniques and memorization skills, all while enjoying themselves. Along with the CD, there are educational resource books to supplement classroom learning, a video which supplies additional activites and the "Hot Buttered Hits and Songbook" which allows children (and adults) to sing along to their favorite Corn songs.


    Choices In A Pack: Tobacco Education for Teenagers

    Choices In A Pack offers middle school students decision-making situations regarding cigarettes and smokeless tobacco. Topics are presented with teen issues in mind: popularity, looks and peer group interests. Designed with the multi-cultural audience in mind, the five curriculum components include two computer animation games and four core classroom exercises.

    Food Detectives Web site

    Food Detectives Fight BAC! This entertaining site for kids ages 8-12 includes songs, activities and arcade-style games. Through playing to learn youth understand the importance of the 4 key messages in the Fight BAC food safety program: wash hands and utensils, chill leftovers properly, cook food to the proper temperature and separate cooked food from raw meat and juices.

    Food Guide Pyramid Games (CD-ROM)

    Digital Desert Library

    A collaboration between the Smithsonian Institute, NMSU's College of Education and teachers across the nation, the Digital Desert Library is an on-line resource guide for everything dealing with deserts. Whether you're looking for activities to teach students, or trying to find information using the comprehensive search database, its a great resource to utilize.


    Seeds of Change

    Seeds of Change is an initiative by the Smithsonian Institute which teaches diversity and history by examining the evolution of agriculture and food throughout the world. By providing for both educational activities as well as home projects, students learn about history, different cultures and applications they can incorperate into everyday life.
